Denova
–
Iranian-American and Los Angeles native artist and producer makes music from their bedroom with nothing but a microphone, a DAW, and the hopes of tickling the worms in our brains. For Denova, the intention is to make music as an innovative art and experience.
Rooted in formal studies of classical music and composition, yet drawn to the boundless possibilities of experimental electronic production, Denova exists in the space between discipline and invention. That duality influences everything they create; structured chaos and charged noise.
Following the release of their debut singles "i see u" and "what did i do 2 u?", Denova shared their first project in the form of a seven track EP titled "U".
As a creative who handles every element of their music from composition to mixing to visuals, Denova represents a new generation of artists who fully exploit the resources given to them and maximize on self sufficiency. With their debut body of work now released, they're poised to continue exploring the outer edges of what bedroom-produced music can be.
U
Denova’s debut EP, titled “U”, was an energetic release of bottled emotion. Using dark soundscapes from pop and electronic influences, they used the sonics to inspire a very intuitive form of self expression.
Each track functions as a self-contained world, yet together they form a cohesive narrative about romantic infatuation. Moving through the motions of falling in love until you realize it was limerence the whole time; where “U” is the concept of the person you fell in ‘love’ with.
